Mill Village Raid (Lego set)

I’ve just gotten a Lego Mill Village Raid. It’s great, with lots of moving parts, too!

I’m not sure how long it took me to put it together, but it wasn’t very hard.  The pieces came in numbered bags. The funnest part was assembling the moving pieces, especially in the mill. These pictures are from some time into the build.

From the top

Barnyard animals!

This is neat. To raise and lower the hook, you turn the weather vane on the roof.

This is the back of the mill. You can turn the whole thing by winding the crank at the top middle. Turning the little crank on the left moves the gray tray thing so you can load it with the white pellets (unground wheat?).

Here’s the other side of the barn, with a spotted horse.

The barn opens up for easier access. The ladder goes up through a trap door (if you want it to go there), which you can open by pulling out that peg on the right.

This is just another view. You can’t see it in these pics, but one cool thing is that four of the minifigures (including all of the farmers) have reversible faces, easier for setting up scenes in which the green soldiers are raiding the farm.

I’ll post again with pictures of the town I’ve made with this set and a few others.
