I’ve been playing a little of LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4 and Years 5-7 over the last couple of months. I’m on Year 6 now. The two games are more or less the same as any other LEGO license game — easy, with co-op, and you just sort of run around destroying things, rebuilding them, and solving easy puzzles. I encountered one bug in Years 1-4, but no others in either game. But as with the other LEGO license games, the best part is seeing environments, characters, and scenes from the license (in this case Harry Potter) in LEGO form. The cutscenes are mainly modeled after the movies, but there are plenty of minor characters, locations, and little scenes in the background of the regular game world (not cutscenes) for fans of the books. There are also unlockable character tokens, many for obscure characters from the books. Since I love LEGO and like Harry Potter stuff too, and prefer easy games, this is a really fun game for me.

Oh, man – I wish you lived closer than you do! I would totally play Lego Harry Potter with thee. Sounds like a game that is absolutely full of win.
Thank you! I also wish we lived closer, I bet it would be a lot of fun!
